Cynthia Bailey shows off acting skills in season two of ‘Terror Lake Drive’
You may know her as a model, a former member of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” or even an entrepreneur, but now you’ll know her as an actress too.
Cynthia Bailey is continuing her acting journey on the second season of “Terror Lake Drive.” The series follows the story of a fictional apartment complex in Atlanta – where several women have gone missing.
Bailey’s role is an aunt who steps in to take care of her nephew when his mom goes missing. “I’m excited to play the role of Rose who is basically one of the missing ladies’ foster sister, and I take on her son to protect him because she’s missing,” Bailey said. “The last thing I want, as someone who has come up in the foster care system, with my missing sister is for her son to actually end up in foster care so I step in and look after him.”
It seems Bailey took some inspiration from her own life, to get into character. “I have a younger sister and I’m the oldest in my family so I always kind of felt like I had to protect my sister Mal because I was the oldest – I kind of really just put that into this character Rose when it came to Stephanie; I wanted to protect her and now I’m trying to protect her son, so I’m the protector,” Bailey said.
While Bailey is continuing her acting journey, she makes it clear, that she’s not letting that entrepreneurial spirit of hers go. “I came from very humble beginnings, so I’ve always wanted my own. One of the first things that I did when I joined ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ platform, was I made a conscious, intentional decision to start a business every season. It was really important for me to use the platform for good and to actually show my different businesses… as a matter of fact, I just opened up my newest business here in L.A., which is where I live now, in the Beverly Center. My CB Vior line, which is a bag and apparel line.”
