Fox Soul TV’s ‘CheMinistry’ taping brings the stars out to Atlanta’s Gathering Spot
When it comes to a celebrity panel that’s informative and entertaining, CheMinistry knows how to put it together!
If you aren’t familiar, CheMinistry is a “relationship platform created to bridge the gap between purpose-driven men and women who desire to progressively move their love life to the next level.”
“I was coming out of eight years of celibacy, and I had failed relationship after failed relationship,” CheMinistry founder Chanel Scott, told Access Atlanta. “Coming out of that space I wanted to understand the male perspective. I created a space where I had a voice and I could invite men who wouldn’t be judged, but encouraged to be transparent and answer those questions that we never get answers to when we’re in the context of a relationship - and also to talk about the issues we experience in our relationships... not to be pushed off, not to be rushed, not to feel bad, not to be shamed but to really come to a place of peace in the course of the conversation,” Scott added.
Scott not only created the platform, but she was able to secure a partnership with Fox Soul television. In doing so, she was able to create a show, bringing in a panel of celebrities and influencers to add to the conversation. This weekend, the show filmed right here in Atlanta at The Gathering Spot with an all-star panel. Panelist included entrepreneur and reality TV star, Tammy Rivera, business owner, blogger and creator of Hollywood Unlocked, Jason Lee, life and love coach and OWN TV show host, Rebecca Lynn Pope, business mogul, Darryl Drake, reality TV star and influencer London “Deelishis” Charles, and “Love and Marriage Huntsville” personality, Martell Holt. The theme for this panel was all about rejection and how it’s played a part in their lives.
Each panelist contributed their own definition of what rejection means. “Rejection is just a word. Maybe that’s God blocking something that’s not for you. I don’t look at rejection as anything to be afraid of, I’m like, OK cool, what’s next?” Lee told Access Atlanta. And as far as a lessons learned from rejection -- Rivera tells Access Atlanta that it serves as motivation, “Rejection has taught me to keep going. I don’t stop because I’m rejected or a door is closing, it just puts more fire under me,” Rivera said.
Adding to the conversation, Holt addresses the difference in how men and women handle rejection. “Something that’s worse than rejection, is the fear of being rejected. So, a lot of men, we don’t want to do too much that’s going to lead to us being rejected. It’s a scary place,” Holt told Access Atlanta.
The conversation was filled with all kinds of life lessons about rejection, what the panelist having learned about their past and present relationships, and even handling life in the spotlight. The CheMinistry panel discussion is set to air on Fox Soul later this month.
