Quavo can add yet another acting credit to his resume!

The Atlanta native will star opposite Billy Zane in “Takeover.” The movie – set and filming in Atlanta – is based around street takeover car culture. What exactly is that, you ask? Street takeovers are pretty much like flash mobs; motorists go to a certain location, block off the streets with their vehicles and perform stunts with their cars.

Quavo’s character, Guy Miller, is a former criminal who is attempting to get his life back on the right track. Miller’s attempts to stay on the straight and narrow are derailed when several opportunities come across his desk that put him right back in the dangerous scene of Atlanta street racing.

Billy Zane plays the leader of an international heist ring, Gamal Akopyan. Zane’s character uses street takeovers to get away with large scale robberies but must soon make some life-or-death decisions. When his latest heist goes wrong, he has to do whatever it takes to get out of the Atlanta street takeover scene alive, along with nine figures worth of diamonds.

The cast aren’t the only megastars, the crew is too – Jeb Stuart, best known for his classic movies including “The Fugitive” working alongside Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones, wrote the script. Stuart is also known for “Die Hard,” starring Bruce Willis.

Quavo is no stranger to the acting world, as he’s appeared in several TV shows, including “Black-Ish,” “Atlanta,” and “Narcos: Mexico.” The “Hotel Lobby” rapper made headlines recently because he’s also starring in the movie “Cash Out” alongside John Travolta and “Praise This” with Chloe Bailey, comedians Druski and Kountry Wayne, singer and songwriters Koryn Hawthorne and Jekalyn Carr, actors Tristan Mack Wilds and Anjelika Washington.
