Trailer released for “The System” starring Terrence Howard, Tyrese Gibson and Lil Yachty

Now, this is a combo we didn’t see coming!

The trailer for “The System” has been released, and it looks action-packed. Here’s how it breaks down: Tyrese Gibson plays Terry Savage. Savage is a retired marine who ends up working for the local police after he gets caught robbing drug houses to pay for his daughter’s medical treatment. Basically, authorities tell him to go undercover in an extremely dangerous prison to investigate what’s really going on behind the scenes. While undercover, he discovers an underground prisoner fighting ring and the warden forces him to compete. Savage has to stay alive long enough if he wants to take down the warden’s corrupt system. Tyrese is also one of the film’s producers and posted about the movie on his Instagram page. “We shot this in Mississippi in a real maximum security prison with real inmates... No acting required, just feel, and I felt everything,” Tyrese wrote.

“What an exciting and surreal production making this very important genre movie!” Dallas Jackson, the film’s director, said, “Such an amazing experience with my stellar cast of Tyrese, Jeremy, and Terrence, along with the perfect partner in Highland Films. I think ‘The System’ has a chance to not only shift the culture here in the states but entertain action fans around the world!” With a cast like this and the trailer looking as good as it does, I’m definitely adding this to my must-watch list!
