If you’re looking to get tickets, get those credit cards ready because it’s almost time.

Goodie Mob, Sleepy Brown, Mr. Collipark and DJ Bad will be hitting the stage at The Eastern this November and tickets go on sale tomorrow. The event is being put on as a musical celebration of all things Atlanta. This sounds like the perfect pregame for the Thanksgiving holiday to me! Yes, we are already talking Thanksgiving.

It’s always a good time when you get to see legends up close and personal. Goodie Mob, one of the most celebrated rap acts to come out of the Atlanta hip-hop scene formed back in 1991. Members include CeeLo Green, Big Gipp, Khujo and T-Mo who all grew up together in Atlanta. After the success of their debut album “Soul Food,” Goodie Mob then released two more albums, “Still Standing” in 1998 and “World Party” in 1999, which were both also certified gold in the U.S.

Green made headlines just a few months ago, as he is working on a documentary series about his life in addition to a scripted drama series inspired by the story of his group Goodie Mob - and its rise in the southern rap scene. “Goodie Mob is a prolific rap group for the south and the epitome of Southern hip hop culture. We are ready to memorialize our musical journey in the scripted space,” Green said about the project. Both projects should be interesting, as Green began his career as a member of Goodie Mob - which was part of the Dungeon Family collective, home also to Outkast. In 1999, Green left Goodie Mob to work on his solo career, before linking up with Danger Mouse to form Gnarls Barkley.
