The celebration will begin at 12:30 p.m. with a parade along Lumpkin Street on the UGA campus, followed by a Dawg Walk starting at 1 p.m. and an official program inside Sanford Stadium at 2 p.m. Gates for the program will open at noon.
Due to ongoing construction at the stadium, there will be changes to the celebration compared to last year.
- The Dawg Walk will begin at the Baxter Street extension and proceed through the Tate Student Center Plaza.
- Entry to the program will only be through gates 1, 2, 3, 4, 4A, and 5.
- Seating will be limited to the West, East, and North stands, as well as reserved seating on the field.
Regular gameday procedures will follow, and the campus will open to visitors on Saturday at 7 a.m.
The celebration in Athens marks the peak of an outstanding season for the Bulldogs. The team finished with an undefeated record and secured back-to-back national champions. ESPN reported that this achievement is a rare feat, with only Nebraska (1994-1995), Southern California (2003-2004) and Alabama (2011-2012) managing to win consecutive national championships since 1990.
