Bert’s Big Adventure kids will join models in fundraising Avalon fashion show

We’re thrilled to announce that tickets are now on sale for this year’s Noon to Night fashion show benefiting Bert’s Big Adventure (BBA). Now celebrating its 20th year, BBA is a nonprofit organization that provides a magical, all-expenses-paid trip to Disney World for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families.
The eighth annual event kicks off at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15, at Avalon for an evening of food, fashion and entertainment. Guests can enjoy a cocktail reception featuring delicious food from Avalon’s many renowned restaurants, including Bocado, Branch and Barrel, Kona Grill, South City Kitchen and The Cape. The “Fund the Need” fundraiser begins at 7 p.m. Dean Crownover, Georgia’s top benefit auctioneer will oversee the fundraiser, allowing guests to contribute to specific Walt Disney World experiences.
At 8 p.m., BBA kids will strut their stuff down the runway alongside fashion models and local celebrities, showcasing all of the latest fall fashion looks from Avalon retailers, including, Allbirds, Anthropologie, Athleta, Free People, Lilly Pulitzer, Tommy Bahama and more. Local media personalities Mara Davis and Monica Kaufman-Pearson will serve as co-emcees.
Tickets for general admission are $50 and include access to the pre-show cocktail hour. VIP tickets are $150 and include reserved runway seating, access to a private pre-show lounge with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and entry into an after-party at The Hotel at Avalon, which consists of a silent disco, live DJ, complimentary beverages, pizza from Antico and other perks.
Noon to Night was created in 2015 to provide a magical moment in the spotlight for BBA children suffering from chronic and terminal illnesses, free of hospital gowns and medical practitioners. Avalon’s retailers and restaurants also highlight seasonal fashions and tastes. Since collaborating, the organizations have raised more than $350,000 to send BBA kids and their families on an all-expenses-paid five-day trip to Walt Disney World.
