It’s October, and you know what that means: it’s time for pumpkin spice everything, leaves changing color and a whole lot of zen. We’ve found six awesome yoga events around town where you can do just that — for free or at an affordable price.

Whether you’re in a beautiful Atlanta park or other venues, all you need is a mat, water, appropriate clothing and sunscreen (depending on the time of day) to try one of the following yoga classes in metro Atlanta:

Atlanta Laughter Yoga Club

Laughter Yoga is a great way to get your stress and worries out of your system. It’s not about getting in shape or losing weight, it’s about finding your inner happiness and it can be practiced by anyone at any age or fitness level. Free on-street parking is available outside the Trolley Barn!

BFMT Weekend Wellness

If you’re looking to get your mind, body and spirit in tip-top shape, we have just the thing for you! On Saturday, Oct. 8, Black Female and Male Therapists (BFMT) will host a free yoga class at Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark, followed by a sound bath meditation and giveaways.

On select Sunday mornings, Wild Heaven West End Brewery & Gardens offers free community yoga classes. All levels are welcome; just bring your mat, water bottle and any props to aid in your practice. Nia Knowles will lead the classes.

Free yoga on The Plaza Green

This free yoga class, hosted by The Battery Atlanta, meets on The Plaza Green on Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. During these events, participants can park for free in the Red, Purple or Green decks. Pre-registration is required.

TWO urban licks’ barre3, Brunch and Boos

If you’re looking for a pre-Halloween workout that’ll get your blood pumping, look no further than TWO urban licks’ barre3, Brunch and Booze event.

On Saturday, Oct. 29, get your workout in with a 45-minute barre3 class on the patio overlooking the Atlanta BeltLine and then cool down with a complimentary bloody mary or mimosa. Stick around after class for 10% off brunch favorites.

Farm Animal Yoga

If you’re looking for something a little different, try Halcyon’s Farm Animal Yoga on the Green, where they have goats running around while you do yoga!

As baby goats and other farm animals from Atlantis Dream Farm roam, local yoga instructors will lead participants through an Ashtanga-based Vinyasa class. Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and to bring their own mats and water bottles. The classes are suitable for students of all levels, aged 10 and up. Pre-registration is required and tickets are $35 per person.
