Labor Day 2022: What stores are open, closed in Atlanta?

Observed each year on the first Monday in September, Labor Day is an annual celebration of American workers’ social and economic achievements. And what better way to celebrate your labor than to spend its fruits? Labor day is an excellent day for shopping, full of special holiday and end-of-summer deals.

But many stores also observe holiday hours, with limited availability. So, if you run out of paper plates at an odd hour, or if you drag your feet on sending off a package, you might find that your local go-to store is closed.

CVS: Most CVS locations will be open on Labor Day. However, in particular, CVS might reduce pharmacy hours, so contact your local store.

Home Depot: Home Depot is having a huge Labor Day appliance sale, and their stores are also staying open. However, hours may differ depending on your location.

Kohl’s: The retailer remains open on Labor Day and has many sales.

Walgreens: Walgreens locations will be open during regular hours on Labor Day.

USPS: Post offices will be closed, and USPS will not deliver mail.
