Land a job with Hawks, State Farm Arena on ‘Interview Day’

The Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena are teaming up to host an inaugural Interview Day on Saturday, Sept. 10, from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m., offering hundreds of part-time and event day positions with a minimum starting salary of $16 per hour.

If you attend the event, there’s a chance you could get hired on the spot. Hiring managers from the food and beverage, guest experience, arena conversion, security, Hawks retail, ticket box office, and other departments will be on-site to interview candidates seeking employment.

“At Interview Day, we aspire to interview and hire local talent to join the team that brings world class experiences to life for our guests’ at State Farm Arena,” Camye Mackey, Hawks and State Farm Arena executive vice president, said in a news release. “We take pride in offering our team members the chance to grow and reach their full potential, and we attribute that to our inclusive and innovative culture.”

These jobs will offer benefits that include access to discounted medical services, five paid major holidays, paid training and development opportunities and scholarship opportunities for employees who have been with the organization for at least six months. New team members can also expect bonuses for time, attendance and performance during their service.

During Interview Day, attendees can also participate in an immersive candidate experience that includes food trucks, a players’ lounge, photo opportunities, wellness stations, Hawks department showcases, and interactive games and prizes.

“Our focus is always on providing outstanding experiences at State Farm Arena for fans, concertgoers and most importantly, our team members,” Hawks Executive Vice President and General Manager of State Farm Arena Brett Stefansson said in the release. “Through our Interview Day, we hope to give candidates a memorable experience that encourages them to provide the same experience for our guests.”
