Melissa Etheridge to perform at Atlanta Botanical Garden in September
One thing is for sure – it’ll be a night to remember!
Get ready to grab your friends and your tickets to see Melissa Etheridge at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. “An Evening with Melissa Etheridge: One Way Out Tour” is a special outdoor concert the singer-songwriter is putting on this September. You’ll have the chance to enjoy the performance on the Great Lawn, which we know is one of the city’s favorite outdoor music venues! This event will be great because you’ll get to enjoy this intimate experience under the stars.
Etheridge is known as an icon in rock music – her debut album was just the start of solidifying that, as it was certified double platinum. She’s had major success with her hit songs such as “No Souvenirs,” “Bring Me Some Water” and “Ain’t It Heavy,” for which she won her first Grammy for (Best Female Rock Vocal). Afterward, she went on to have continued success with songs such as “I’m the Only One” and she even won her second Grammy for her song “Come to My Window.” Not to mention, Etheridge is also an Oscar winner!
We can’t forget about the emotions that Etheridge puts into her songs. In 2016, she released a song called “Pulse” which was in reaction to the mass shooting that happened in Orlando – with all proceeds benefiting Equality Florida, the state’s largest LGBTQ civil rights organization. She told Rolling Stone, “We want to try to make sense. We want to try to heal. We want to bring some meaning, some purpose. We also want to put it down forever in history. That’s how I’m coping.”
With a resume and songs like that, “An Evening with Melissa Etheridge: One Way Out Tour” is going to be a beautiful evening for all to enjoy! The show will take place on September 30 at 8 p.m. You can grab your tickets right now at atlantabg.org. Seating is general admission, and ticketholders can feel free to bring blankets or low-rise chairs. There will also be cash bars and food available for purchase.
Enjoy the show!
