Top 20 pumpkin patches and corn mazes in metro Atlanta to visit this fall

It’s that time of year, finally! The -ber months are here, and Atlantans have plenty of opportunity to pick the perfect pumpkin, navigate complicated corn mazes and experience the fresh fall air on area farms. Here are farms near the city that offer pumpkins, corn mazes, or both.

Southern Belle Farm

Get lost in a four-acre corn maze and then pick out a pumpkin. That’s after you enjoy a cow train ride, see the corn cannon, see the pig races and experience the giant tunnel slide.

Burt’s Pumpkin Farm

Each year, Dawsonville plays host to visitors looking to find the biggest and best pumpkin at Burt’s Pumpkin Farm. This farm began in the 1800s and once encompassed the land that is now Amicalola Falls State Park. It’s been attracting fall visitors since the early 1970s.

Skitts Mountain Farms

Get lost in a corn maze, experience the thrill of a zipline or relax on a tractor ride. You’ll find it all at Skitts Mountain Farms in Cleveland.

Head west from Atlanta for a season-centric pumpkin patch/corn maze combo. It’s worth the day trip to Powder Springs where you’ll also find tractor rides, a kid’s playground, a country store, farm animals and much more!

This North Georgia farm calls itself “the home of Halloween” for good reason. Visit for the corn maze and stay for the pony rides, hay rides, corn cannon, rubber duck racing and gem mining.

B.J. Reece Orchards

Would fall in Georgia be complete without a trip north to Ellijay? Nope. And B.J. Reece Orchards delivers with its farm activities. You’ll find a corn box, rubber duck races, a farm slide and wagon rides among a slew of other activities. And while you’re there, don’t forget to pick some of the Orchards’ signature crop - apples!

It’s a little off the beaten path, but this delightful family-owned facility near Calhoun is worth a day trip. Pettit Creek Farms

Pettit Creek Farms is perhaps best known for its exotic animals, but its annual Pumpkin Fest is definitely worth putting on the calendar. Plenty of kid-centric activities are available - a hay maze, a petting zoo, scarecrow building, stick pony races - and you can upgrade your ticket to include camel rides, too!

Pumpkin Patch at Oakland Cemetery
